There are so many global cuisines that use tomatoes, like this Moroccan Smoky Tomato & Harissa Soup recipe, inspired by Moroccan recipes and cooking. What is harissa? Harissa is a spicy roasted red pepper paste, popular in Moroccan cooking, here used in its powdered form. The incredibly versatile tomato gets a sophisticated treatment, with smoky notes from paprika and heat from the harissa powder. Together, they add a depth of flavor to this otherwise simple Moroccan Smoky Roasted Tomato & Harissa Soup recipe, making it extra comforting as a starter or side.
